Why am I still anxious even after therapy or mindfulness?

You can't "think" or talk your way out of a "feeling" problem. Therapy and breathwork can be great to help you understand your feelings, but they don't necessarily erase the deep body habit that is anxiety.

​Hypnosis teaches you to retrain the patterns underneath the anxiety and panic so that your nervous system actually responds differently in situations that would have set off alarms in the past.

Can hypnosis help with chronic stress and overwhelm?

Absolutely. Stress is your body stuck in "emergency" mode. When all of your mental and emotional resources are tapped out on perceived threat, it creates stress and overwhelm in the mind and body.

This is normal and natural in situations of real danger, but holds you back when it's in everyday situations.

​But because your nervous system learned one way of coping, it can learn something new. Hypnosis teaches you how to turn off the alarm bells so that you feel calmer as a baseline.

Will hypnosis replace breathing exercises, or do I need both?

Hypnosis isn't saying no to breathing tools. It actually sets your system up to actually use them better and more effectively. Hypnosis retrains your nervous system to stop the feeling of urgency so that your breath becomes a reset rather than a last resort.

How fast can I feel relief from anxiety using hypnosis?

Most people experience relief even during and after the first session. For others, they notice the relief blooming over time, when they catch themselves reacting differently to situations that used to trigger them in the past.

​Either way, in each session, you'll leave with tools your nervous system will use to retrain the old patterns so that new patterns can emerge.
